Taiwan: Visa on Demand
This page provides general information about entry permit requirements for Taiwan. As the application requirements might change from time to time, please check with Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (Hong Kong) if there are any enquiries or questions.
Starting from 1 July 2017, single-entry visa for Hong Kong residents and tourist visa for Mainland nationals residing in Hong Kong must be applied online. Submission to the office will no longer be accepted. Please upload the photo and required documents when filling in the online application form. Provided that the documents required are complete, it usually takes five working days to process the application. Please pay the fee online with credit card and print the visa.
1. Hong Kong permanent residents but not born in Hong Kong or Macao (without foreign nationality): Holders of Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card, HKSAR/BNO passport and Home Visit Permit, please click to apply.
2. Mainland nationals residing in Hong Kong: Holders of Hong Kong Identity Card, Mainland passport/DI and HKSAR Certificate of Entitlement, please click to apply.
3. Born in Hong Kong/Macao or those who are not born in Hong Kong or Macao but had been to Taiwan as a Hong Kong and Macao permanent resident after 1983, please click to apply for free for a stay in Taiwan within 30 days.
