Six Additional Hong Kong/Macau Origin Products Granted CEPA Zero Tariff Status

Six additional Hong Kong/Macau originated product categories are to be accorded zero tariff status. The designated products include turkey meatballs, aircraft blankets and metallic joints for medical transplantation. In a further move, adjustments are to be made to the origin criteria with regard to lubricants and liquid crystal compounds.

The changes fall under the terms of the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) and its relevant supplementary agreements. The listed products will now enjoy CEPA zero tariff status as of 1 July 2017.
