27 April 2010 – More than 4,000 exhibitors from 36 countries and regions are taking part in the HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair, which continues through 30 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
The world’s largest event of its kind, the Gifts and Premium Fair this year celebrates its 25th edition with new exhibitors from Denmark and Sri Lanka making their debut.
France and Spain have organised pavilions at the fair for the first time. The Spanish pavilion is led by the Spanish Fashion Jewellery Manufacturers’ Association and features custom jewellery and gifts. In all, there are 17 pavilions at this year’s event.
Fair highlights include the new and exclusive World of Gift Ideas section, which features creative items and settings. Section exhibitors have decorated their own booths to boost brand recognition and attract buyer attention. Other special highlights are sections devoted to Figurines & Decorations and Outdoor & Travel Goods. The popular Hall of Fine Designs returns with an accent on excellence in designer collections and high-end brand items.
Major companies exhibiting at this year’s fair include Hong Kong’s Overdistribution Ltd, which handles sports and fashion brands, including Diadora, Fila, Prince, De’Longhi, Moschino and Tribe by Breil. Hong Kong’s Topchoice Industries Ltd is also at the fair, exhibiting mugs, cups, ceramic tableware and products under the MC2 by Topchoice brand.
From overseas, Belgium’s Plastoria SA is exhibiting corporate gifts under such major names as Cerruti 1881, Charles Jourdan, Scherrer, Smalto and Ungaro, while Germany’s NICI Gmbh is featuring its NICI brand, offering stuffed toys, stationery and other giftware.
The fair features a wide range of product categories, including corporate gifts, wedding favours, tech gifts, toys and sporting goods, party and festive items, figurines and decorations, advertising premiums and much more.
The demand for glamorous gifts and the latest lifestyle product trends are among this year’s seminar topics.
