Autumn breeze is blowing and fashion lovers in town are ready to change their wardrobes. A timely event is arranged today at Harbour City, unveiling some of the fashion trends of the upcoming Fall/Winter 2006 made available by the World Boutique, Hong Kong to be held early next year.
In its fourth staging, the World Boutique, Hong Kong will again open a window for those fashion buyers on the lookout for premium items, designers' collections as well as various lifestyle products and fashion accessories. For the 2006 event, there will be around 200 exhibitors showcasing over 250 labels and brands of fashion products ranging from apparel, handbags, shoes, watches and fashion jewellery.
Today's event includes a dazzling display of apparel and accessories from 37 brand names, covering items of apparel, evening wear, fur garment, sportswear, accessories, lifestyle products, jewellery, watch and handbag, all being participants of the upcoming World Boutique, Hong Kong. To quote a few names, Moiselle Int'l, Diane Freis Boutiques, Anniewho, Ali Charisma, Jacques Farel as well as designers' labels like Jaeger Ng, IKA, William Cheung, May Wong, Patryk Chaou are among the participants.
Talking about trends, hair and makeup styling are forever crucial elements. On the same occasion, makeup stylists from M.A.C. Cosmetics and hair stylists from Hip Hair Culture come to present the hottest tips for making a total trendy look. Party look in glamorous style for the festive season or casual chic for everyday dress-up are just some ideas out of the many.
As an important fashion showcase for worldwide buyers, World Boutique, Hong Kong will feature over 250 brand names and designers' collections from Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, the Chinese mainland, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, the US and Vietnam. Among them are well-known brands like Escada, Laurel, Apriori, Butoni, Imaroon, Bogner, Lu Lu Cheung, Mademoiselle & Moiselle, Playboy, Sabrina Scala, Sister Joli etc.
Since its inception in 2003, the World Boutique, Hong Kong has been regarded as an important platform for local and worldwide fashion designers to flaunt their creativity and expose themselves under the spotlight. In the coming January, there will be 15 major fashion shows on offer, coupled with the many salon shows to be staged around the fairground. Fashion peers would be enchanted by the versatile range of fashion collections. Buyers will be further impressed by the ambience as the fairground is specially designed to give a feel of trendy fashion store.
The 15 fashion shows will include Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest 2006 on the opening day featuring new fashion talents' masterpieces, International Fashion Designers' Show I & II, Brand Collections Show I (Chicks, BYPAC, Sabrina Scala) and Brand Collections Show II (Sister Joli, Astro Boy by OHYA, Playboy), plus a number of house shows to be staged by Cecilia Yau, Peter Lau, Ika, Anniewho by Annie, Moiselle, Arthur Lam, Patryk Chaou & Ida Trieu, Wilson Lee, William Cheung, Jaegar Ng, William Tang, Hidy Ng, Lu Lu Cheung and Korean designers.
The Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest 2006 will definitely catch everyone's attention. Sparking off on the first day of the World Boutique, this contest will show the aspirations of 16 budding designers who will compete for 9 awards under 3 different groups, namely, casual street wear, contemporary daywear and partywear.
Scheduled to run from January 17 - 20, 2006, World Boutique, Hong Kong will be held concurrently with the Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2006 which will feature over 1,000 companies specialising in mass merchandise as well as high fashion items.
