The best of Hong Kong's style and glamour sparkled at the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest last night (September 11).

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, a gala dinner entitled Hong Kong Delights showcased unique Hong Kong designs in a glittering setting, raising the profile of Hong Kong products in the Central and Eastern European markets.

More than 200 major government officials, key buyers, industry leaders and media from the region attended the evening in Budapest to experience Hong Kong first-hand through a feast of delicacies, fusion music and stylish product parades.

Speaking at the gala evening, Ministry of Economy and Transport, Dr. Janos Koka said both Hong Kong and Hungary were playing the high value-added game, providing good quality products and services.

"Hong Kong and Hungary are great partners for each other and I truly believe that our business ties will be strengthened," he said.

He added that Hungary is not only the best marketplace in the region, but also the best place for investment.

The gala dinner was one of the highlights of Style Hong Kong in Budapest Exposition (Sept 11 - 13), the first large-scale solo expo of Hong Kong products in Central and Eastern Europe.

Renowned Hong Kong models Eunis Chan, Kathy Chow, Ana R ,Vanessa Yeung and eight Hungarian models, together with Miss Hong Kong 2006 Aimee Chan paraded the beauty of glamorous Hong Kong products including fashion garments, contemporary watches, luxury furs and lifestyle products.

Fashion brands featured in the parades included Arthur Lam, Moiselle, Modele de Prudence, Symetrie, Cadano, Isla, while watch brands included Amundsen, Bao Wang, Charles Hubert, est, Giordano, John Kaiser, Luxmi, PowerDisk, QUE and Trixie.
