HKTDC Webcasts Set Stage for Entrepreneur Day 2010
12 May 2010 – Success strategies for new businesses and Hong Kong’s unique advantages for companies will be explored in a series of video profiles of entrepreneurs starting today on the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) webcast service at www.youtube.com/hktdc.
The first report (see link below) focuses on iMusicTech and ESL Limited, two new companies set up with the support of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks. The series of six start-up success stories will be released in Cantonese each Wednesday, and will include practical advice and commentary from experts taking part in the HKTDC’s upcoming Entrepreneur Day.
The HKTDC-organised event to be held 18-19 June at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre aims to facilitate business start-ups and support newly established companies. Facilitating information exchange as well as experience sharing, the event was expanded to two-days following the success of last year’s Entrepreneur and Continuing Education Day.
This year’s event will showcase entrepreneurship opportunities such as franchising, the use of a business intermediary, online business and entrepreneurship support. There will also be exhibits on accounting, banking, consultancies, information technology, insurance and intellectual property as well as support on legal, licensing and real estate issues.
