Donald Tsang Helps Open Entertainment Expo Hong Kong
Expo Features 10 Multimedia Events, including FILMART
The opening ceremony was officiated by Donald Tsang, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Government; Ma Li, Director-General, International Cooperation Department, Hong Kong Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office, State Administration of Radio, Film and Television; Jack So, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Hong Kong Film Development Council (HKFDC); and Tony Leung, Hong Kong Entertainment Ambassador.
Entertainment Expo features 10 multimedia events covering film, television, music and digital entertainment. They include the three founding events: the Hong Kong International Film and Television Market (FILMART), the Hong Kong International Film Festival, and the Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony.
Other events include: the fifth Asian Film Awards, the Hong Kong – Asia Film Financing Forum, the Hong Kong Asian Pop Music Festival, the IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award and the Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards. In addition, the expo features two affiliated events: the Digital Visual Effects Summit, and Pixar: 25 Years of Animation.
