Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran visits Hong Kong

Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Mr. Mohsen Aminzadeh met Mr. Fred Lam, Executive Director of the Trade Development Council (TDC) today (May 19) during his visit in Hong Kong.
Mr. Aminzadeh and Mr. Lam have exchanged views on ways to strengthen business ties between Hong Kong and Iran.
In 2003, Hong Kong imported HK$1,243 million worth of goods from Iran, representing a 54.3% growth. Major items include leather, copper and raw skins. Hong Kong's total exports to Iran increased by 41.2% in 2003 to HK$292 million. Major products are telecommunication equipments, electrical apparatus, audio-visual equipments and textile fabrics.
The Export Promotion Centre of Iran and TDC signed an Agreement on Mutual Cooperation in 2000 to strengthen their partnership in the promotion and development of trade and business relations between Iran and Hong Kong.
